So now we’ve added rocks (or another solid décor), decorative beads, and some colored water of your choice to your glass vases scheme. What’s next? If you’ve decided to expand from here then we’ll assume you’ve taken the advice of the previous articles and filled the clear glass vases with water that is twice the height of the rocks. At this point you should consider adding some plants to the mix but keep in mind that too many plants can really make a glass vase scheme look tacky. The key is to put very few plants that all have a very slender width to them so that they don’t distract or “take over” the overall appearance. Typically people opt for artificial plants as they don’t want to have to provide the constant care and sunlight. If you purchased your cheap glass vases with real plants inside then this limits the location to only windows so that you can provide it with sunlight. It also narrows down the different types of appearances you can go for. They have specially designed plants that have glowing lights on them, or that are outlined with glowing markers. These can make a room look super cool and are fairly inexpensive for what they are.
When out looking for cheap glass vases keep your eye open for other objects that can float easily and add to the texture of the vase. Rose petals are a good options as are objects that light up. This can be very popular because you can strike them up which adds another aspect to them that most people find very eye catching. They have specially made devices that will float on water for this. You can even get battery operated illuminates so that they are always on and no lighting is required. These are fairly inexpensive but don’t look as nice as an actual flame. Keep in mind if you’re going to use an actual device that brights up you have to be careful what you place inside your vase along with it. Plants and artificial objects can catch on fire and can be dangerous. Although the genuine objects will look the nicest if you buy a high end artificial globe you can not only get it looking very realistic but also have the option of different colored flames. Once again, versatility is always an advantage.
